THE MUSEUM AT BETHEL WOODS

The Museum at Bethel Woods, located at the site of the 1969 Woodstock festival at Bethel Woods Center for the Arts, explores the unique experience of the Woodstock festival, its significance as a culminating event of a decade of radical cultural transformation, and the legacies of the sixties and Woodstock today. An immersive multimedia exhibit features the sights, sounds and culture of the decade, and incorporates personal stories and profiles. A high tech theater features the best musical performances from the festival and includes never-before-seen footage from the event. Rotating special exhibits expand on the topics explored in the main exhibit, allowing in-depth exploration of a myriad of themes, and giving guests reasons to return again and again.  The museum also helps to preserve the historic site of the 1969 Woodstock festival. The Museum Shop features unique gift items inspired by the decade and the festival. Light dining fare is available at The Museum Café. Visit the website for more information on the concert, film, speaker series and hours of operation.
